Executives at the Fishtown casino discovered that “an unauthorized actor accessed and/or took certain files stored on our computer servers,” spokesperson Jack Horner said in a statement.

Rivers Casino users could be entitled to financial compensation after the company fell victim to a data breach that compromised thousands of people's personal information.

The hackers may have gained access to customers' social security numbers and/or bank information used for direct deposit, according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday on behalf of a resident living in Philadelphia.
