West Bengal governor CV Ananda Bose has asked for a report from CM Mamata Banerjee in the RG Kar rape and murder case.

On November 11, while he was being taken away from the special court at the end of the first day of the trial, Sanjay Roy made a sensational claim accusing former Kolkata Police Commissioner Vineet Kumar Goyal of being the main conspirator in framing him in the case.

The trial for the rape and murder of a woman doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital began on Monday. Prime accused Sanjay Roy, present in court, maintained his innocence, claiming he was framed.
