The festival takes place in Munich every year, at Theresienwiese, a 100-acre fairground space in the city’s Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt district, near the Old Town. Believe it or not, Oktoberfest isn’t actually considered a beer festival in Germany – instead, it’s a folksy celebration popular among families as well as those after a stein or two.

The celebration, held annually in Munich, Germany, since 1810, has since spawned thousands of variations worldwide, including many right here in Massachusetts.

Like clockwork, Bayern Munich have heralded the arrival of a distinct autumnal chill in the air by launching their new special edition kit ahead of this year's Oktoberfest in the Bavarian region of southern Germany.
