University of Texas quarterback Arch Manning is set to make the first start of his college football career on Saturday, leading the Longhorns onto the field for their first game as the nation's No. 1 ranked team since 2008.

Ewers suffered an abdominal strain in the second quarter of the Longhorns' 56-7 win over UTSA last week, and Manning dazzled in relief, accounting for five touchdowns including a 67-yard scoring run.

The Texas Longhorns are No. 1 for the first time since 2008 as they head into their final tune-up game before starting the program's first SEC schedule.
