A North Korean-made mobile surface-to-air missile system has appeared for the first time in the Ukraine conflict. A previously unidentified air defense system seen in the footage of a strike released by the Russian side appears to be a North Korean analog of the Russian Tor short-range SAM system.

Two captured North Korean soldiers were questioned about fighting with Russian forces against Ukraine. And NBC News' Janis Mackey Frayer spoke with former North Korean soldiers now in exile about the brutal conditions they found serving in the country's army.

Zelenskiy said that for North Korean soldiers who did not wish to return home, there may be other options available.

South Korea's National Intelligence Service (NIS) informed lawmakers on Monday that two North Korean soldiers captured by Ukrainian forces while fighting alongside Russian troops in the Kursk border region have not expressed a desire to seek asylum in South Korea.

Ukraine’s president released a video of the two soldiers being interrogated, revealing they knew little about the war they were sent to fight in.

In a statement posted on X, Zelenskyy said he had instructed Ukraine's security service to allow journalists access to the captured soldiers.
