Emergency crews suspended their search for victims of catastrophic flooding in central Texas on Sunday morning amid new warnings that additional rain would again cause waterways to surge.

Kerr County, Texas, could again see heavy rain and flooding this weekend, only a week after severe thunderstorms unleashed deadly flash flooding there and in central parts of the state.

"Those claims are absolutely false," Noem said. "Within just an hour or two after the flooding, we had resources from the Department of Homeland Security there."
