Dense fog advisory issued for Willamette Valley until Friday midday
On Friday at 7:38 a.m. a dense fog advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until noon for West Central Willamette Valley, East Central Willamette Valley, Benton County Lowlands and Linn County Lowlands.
The current dense fog advisory will be expiring at 10 a.m., says the NWS
The advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. A dense fog advisory is issued by your local National Weather Service office when widespread dense fog develops. When this happens, visibilities frequently drop to one-quarter of a mile or less. These conditions make travel difficult. Take extra caution when on the road or avoid driving if possible.
Dense fog, stagnant air in Oregon prompt NWS warnings for Willamette Valley
"Light winds and limited air movement will lead to a period of stagnant air conditions," NWS said, warning of "deteriorating air quality for people with respiratory problems" and "visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog," which "could make driving conditions hazardous."

On Thursday at 7:35 a.m. a dense fog advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 1 p.m. for West Central Willamette Valley and East Central Willamette Valley.
