Cardiff City boss Omer Riza has warned the club's lowly position in the Championship table could affect their ability to attract players in January. The Bluebirds appear in desperate need of fresh blood amid a nine-game run without a single victory that has seen them fall to 23rd in the league standings ahead of Sunday's trip to Watford.

Riza says he has had a recruitment meeting with the Cardiff board, but admits the club might struggle to attract the right calibre of signing on a permanent basis, with a focus on the loan market likelier.
