Lighter carbon-fiber parts, added muscle everywhere, and a top speed that trips a limiter at 186mph are the highlights of BMW’s upcoming M3 CS Touring xDrive. And it’s something BMW has never done before. Sure, the Bavarian automaker has made a few M3 wagons in its time, but it’s never made a CS range-topping version before.

We don't get the M3 Touring in America, which is a shame. Because the current 3 Series and M3 wagons have not been homologated for the United States, the hotter M3 CS Touring isn't coming here either.

BMW has introduced the first-ever BMW M3 CS Touring, a limited-edition high-performance wagon that combines track-inspired engineering with everyday versatility. Debuting at the iconic Mount Panorama Circuit during the Bathurst 12-Hour race,

BMW makes its M3 sport wagon even sharper with the new CS model, which unfortunately won't be sold in America.

As per BMW’s other modern CS cars, the 3.0-litre features a new, blowier set of blowers with more charge pressure (2.1 bar), plus a few 0s and 1s inserted into the engine management code to allow for the 20bhp increase. The mountings for this engine are stiffer, too.

The ultimate M3 station wagon arrives as the BMW M3 CS Touring. This high performance two-box makes 543 horsepower and uses carbon fiber everywhere.

The M3 CS Touring is expected to follow the same formula as the M3 CS sedan that was sold in 2024, which means extra power and less weight.

The CS treatment for the M3 Touring brings the same 543-hp rating as the hardcore M4 CSL coupe, generated by a tuned version of the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-6 found in all M3 and M4 models. The performance increase over the 523-hp M3 Competition comes from extra boost pressure and tweaks to the engine’s electronic management.

Series, nor the mighty M3 version—and certainly not the ultimate CS speedwagon that’s just been offered to the rest of the world. Lighter, stiffer, faster and even more agile, that’s the promise of the M3 CS Touring—a promise that will sadly remained unfulfilled in the U.
