AMD's Ryzen 7 9800X3D is out of stock virtually everywhere overseas. The demand is so high that pre-orders are selling out 9800X3D shipments before they make it to their destination.

AMD has dominated PC gaming CPU performance for more than two years. Its X3D chips have provided a boost that Intel has been unable to match, and its new $479 Ryzen 7 9800X3D goes a step further to not only improve gaming performance but also day-to-day tasks and creative workloads.

AMD has launched the Ryzen 7 9800X3D desktop processor as part of the Ryzen 9000 series, with the Zen 5 architecture, eight CPU cores, and 16 threads. AMD said the new processor would deliver “up to an average 8% gaming performance improvement compared to our last-gen generation and up to an average 20% faster than the competition.”
