Hi can anyone please recommend a nice clean safe hotel in Memphis. Some of the reviews I have read for some of the chain hotels which you'd expect to be decent are horrendous ie crowne plaza downtown and some marriott group hotels.

There are steps up to the front door and a full flight down to see several rooms. If you can't walk without your walker, you will miss a lot in the house. Most of the collections of cars and costumes are on level ground, away from the house.
If I purchase a vip tour ticket for the mansion etc can you walk back to the mansion later without going back inside just to take photos outside etc when it's not so busy

You can also stay outside as long as you wish and take any bus back or walk back to the museum; it's not far at all.
